The correct answer is Ian Laperriere.

Lappy played 28 games with the Blueshirts in 1995-96.  He was traded by New York in a seven player deal that saw Ray Ferraro, Mattias Norstrom, Nathan Lafayette and 1997 fourth-round draft pick (Sean Blanchard) go to LA in exchange for Marty McSorley, Jari Kurri and Shane Churla on March 14, 1996.
